Hebrews 4:15 - "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin."
Don't you sometimes feel like you are in a really tough situation, and that God doesn't probably understand, because he is perfect? Well, you are not alone. I have good news for you. Christ Jesus knows what you are going through. In his lifetime he has had probably all the temptations one could have (because Satan really wanted him to sin). He did not sin, though. Isn't that encouraging? It is really hard to trust God when you are tempted, but you should be able to have the comfort that Jesus knows what you are going through and he sympathizes with you. And remember that when you are tempted, you have a force that can overpower sin. That force is called God. So the next time you are tempted, remember that Jesus was tempted and you have a force that can overpower the temptation.
