Merry Christmas!!!

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” - Isaiah 9:6

Almost everyone knows the story of Christmas. But most people are like "yeah, great story." It is more than a story, though. It was real and true. Mary had a baby boy, but she was a virgin. Think about that. Mary was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Now what was her husband-to-be Joseph thinking? He was very confused and was thinking to not marry her. But an angel came to him and said that he should still marry her. Mary would've been stoned! But Joseph decided to trust her and they had a son in the most bizarre place for a king. He was born in a stable! What king deserves to be born in a stable? Jesus didn't deserve it. Jesus didn't deserve to die on the cross so that we can be sin-free and live with God forever. But he did it because he and his Father love us. Today, think of Christmas as a miracle and don't get caught up in all the presents. It is Jesus who we should be celebrating about, not gifts.
