The Best Advice Comes From...

Colossians 2:18 -"Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions."

During the whole summer, I have been studying the book of Colossians. It's a great book! Paul, who was in jail when he wrote this, is encouraging the people at Colosse to keep living their faith and gave them instructions on how to live their Christian lives in this book. This passage is very helpful when you have no idea who to take advice from. It says that anyone who delights in false humility will try to disqualify you for the prize. That means that anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus Christ will try to take you off the road towards Heaven. It also says in this passage that uspiritual people can stretch the truth and will lie or give you not the best advice. They have different morals than Christians. So, if you need advice, go to a Christian friend, a pastor, or a Christian sibling or parent. The easiest way to get off the right road is to do what a Non-Christian friend tells you to do.
