Love God

Deuteronomy 6:4-7 - "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give to you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."

These verses mean that you should love God with all of your heart. Think about that for a second.... are you thinking? To love God with all of your heart means that you are not thinking about Facebook, not thinking about problems that you have. You are thinking about God, his good perfect will and how much you love him and what he does for you. To love God means to not be afraid to talk about him, to serve others for him, to follow his commandments and to have a great relationship with him. That's a lot of things to do. In these verses it also says to be impressed in them. This is what dictionary.com says about being impressed:

"Impress: to fix deeply or firmly on the mind or memory, as ideas or facts: to impress the importance of honesty on a child."

Instead of impressing honesty on ourselves, we should impress loving God on ourselves. We also need to talk about it every second of the day. So, how do we do that? We show love to others, because we are giving the love God has given us. That is loving God, also. So we are able to love others because God loved us, too.
