Anxiety

Philippians 4:6-7 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

These verses have a lot to every word. Let's take it a phrase at a time...

"Do not be anxious about anything" I'm telling you, if you actually followed this, you would be talking to someone about Christ right now. But everyone gets anxious once in a while. God is just saying that we should not be anxious as much as we can, because he knows that we're going to fail once in a while.

"Prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" When we are anxious, we should pray about it. I think that a lot of people forget about the thanksgiving part. To tell you the truth, thanking God helps you not be anxious. I have a thanksgiving journal and that helps me a lot if I am anxious. But people just ask God about things like a vending machine. They get but never give (or give a little bit). While we pray to God and ask him to take our anxiety away, we should be thanking him.

"Peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus" If you do ask with a willing heart, God will give you peace, and we will be guarded with our hearts in Christ Jesus.

Those two verses right there are how we should take away our anxiety. If you try it, it will take most of your fears away, I know that from experience.
