Works is not how you earn faith

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.

Have you ever noticed that in today's society, we all have mixed perceptions on how we get saved? I've noticed it. Some people think that we have to be good in order to be saved. But God has big standards, so when we break one commandment, we break them all. All of us would be guilty. Some people think that you have to go to church every week to get saved. Well, how about the people in other countries that are forbidden to even talk about God? They wouldn't go to heaven. Romans 10:9 says, "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is the Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." That's all there is to it. If you haven't confessed and believed, you should talk to a pastor about it, or someone that you know who loves Jesus. For those of you that are already saved, keep growing in your faith by reading the Bible. That's the only way you will know about Jesus.
